Swamped!! :(

I've been sooo soooo swamped this week, I have no time for anything extra it seems. However, I'm very excited to say that week 4 of school is just about over! :)

However, I've been working 30-40 hours every week, and I haven't gotten a grade lower than an A yet! All A+'s & A's. Makes me sooo happy. :) But anyways, I've been working so much it's insane.

Anywho, I wanted to keep you guys updated, and I'm hoping to get some free time pretty soon. :)

Senioritis

3 weeks into my senior year of highschool, I already have a severe case of "senioritis". I just want to be done with this last year of school! Though, I've been doing very well in school, I'm just not enjoying it as much. I have no motivation!

Other than that little bit....I've been learning alot from economics class, I can't seem to spend any money anymore, which is good. haha. I've always been a money ~~hoarder~~ saver, but yeah. For example, I went to the mall yesterday, and I had in the back of my mind that I needed a formal for this upcoming year. Well, formals were on sale at some places, but I didn't expect to find one I liked and such.

I walk into a store, and on the 80% off clearance rack, is a gorgeous blue & white dress, with black designs on it, it just happens to be my size. The price tag was $109, but with the 80% of it was $20. Talk about perfect. :) Saved me a ton of money, and now I've got a formal.

And yes, that was like the most excited part of my week so far... heheh. :P

I'm glad I could blog, I've been wanting to, just haven't made it that far until now. ;P I hope you all are doing well.

The importance of being genuine.

Do certain people bother you? The sort of people that bother me are the kinds of people that are one person around you, and a completely other person around other people. "Chameleons". The irk me.

You know, all my life, I have been my own person, not a follower, never really cared what other people thought etc. But as I grew up, and met more people, I realized not everyone was like that. Not everyone is genuine. It drives me insane! It makes you realize how special the people that ARE genuine are.

And then, you get crap from this non genuine people because they're wondering why you don't want to be their friend, and talk with them, when it's obvious that if you say anything to them, they just go around and twist it and tell others. I can't stand it. Can't STAND it.

People will love you a whole lot more if you're just yourself around them. Being fake doesn't win any long term acceptance.

Happy 4th of July! Or rather, almost 4th of July. :) Do you guys do anything special? Here, we always go to a big event that happens every Friday closest to the 4th. Lots of fireworks, food and such. :) Good stuff.

I know I haven't posted in a while, but I've been working alot and things. Keeping busy throughout the Summer. I havea few blog posts stuck in the 'draft' section that should be up rather soon, and I'm excited to get things rolling. :)

So, I'm sick. With the common cold. :( I hate hate hate being sick! But is there something to you that makes feeling sick a little bit better?

For some, it may be staying home from school, for others, maybe it's watching a good tv show...but for me, it's curling up with a good book, piano music and a hot cup of coffee. :) There's nothing quite like the healing powers of coffee, music, and books in my opinion! :D

However, this sick-time around, I've been watching Lost episodes like cah-razy. I had never watched it until around APril or so, and I was intrigued, so I'm going back and watching all the old episodes & seasons. xD Unfortunately, I don't have much time to do that, normally. haha. Oh well. :P

How about you? is there somehting that seems to comfort you when you're sick? Remember, coffee has healing powers. haha (:

Birthday Bloggin' (:

aaaandddd it's my birthday! :D

I woke up early, like I normally do (I'm such a morning person!) and I baked myself some delicious cinnamon rolls. (: I worked on homework & such as I normally do, and then lunch time rolled around. I (yes, by my request) cooked my birthday lunch, which was delicious! It was a beef stroganoff, but a little fancier than normal. (:

I was given my gifts after the meal, which I was greatly surprised with! There were quite a few random and small gifts, jewelry, coffee mugs (because I am a coffee fiend), giftcards, clothes, and a few other things..and then... I was shocked to read a note from my parents saying that they had ordered a 32 gigabyte iTouch! TOTALLY unexpected! :)

Of course, I was excited! Unfortunately, it doesn't get to me until next week, but it's still cool. :) After that I went to work, and really had just a great time. One of my managers brought an icecream cake for me, and we all pigged out and stuff. Haha. :)

When I came home from work (smelling like tacos...haha) Some friends came to visit me, and we ate snacks and such, and talked. These were close friends that visited me, so I cherish the time I have with them. I appreciate them so much. It was great. :)

It was a simple, but lovely birthday. :) I'm thankful for it. :D

If there's one thing in this world that gets old FAST to me, it's shopping. :/ UGH, I just hate it so much.

Sure, every once in a while it's nice to go around to the mall and check out the cool stores & try & find great deals (Every once in a while meaning like, every 6 months...haha...) but seriously, I don't understand how someone can go there once a week.

Shopping just drainssss me. Not only physically, but mentally! I hate thinking about all the money I'm spending, or decided which things are practical, and which things aren't. My mind gets soooo bogged down with thinking about STUFF that it drives me nuts! haha.

So today, we went out of town, and went out to this big mall, and sure, I got some nice stuff for good prices, but wowwwww. I'm exhausted! I think the only thing I could ALWAYS go shopping for would be purses. (Eep, my weak spot..tehee) o:) I loveee purses, kinda funny seeing as I don't like shopping too much. ;P

This is pretty much a pointless blog post, but I wanted to blog about SOMETHING other than busy life etc. :) On the good side of shopping today, I managed to snag a Starbucks energy drink (One of those Double shot ones...) & an iced coffee from McDonalds. Coffee definitely kept me going today. :P

Other than that, I'm working on new content, it's currently hard as finals are coming up, along with my piano recital, my birthday (5 days!), and working ALOT more now (four people quit, so I'm filling in the gaps). I'm very stretched out right now, and I can't wait until the Summer begins. :)

Anywho, am I the only person on the planet that dislikes shopping most of the time? I hope not. :P

Also, to keep this from being completely pointless, I've added several new affies over the past month! Be sure to visit them! n____n

Haha, I remember having tea parties growing up, too fun. My friends and I wanted to be 'more grown up' than tea, so we'd often pretend our tea was coffee, because it seemed more grown up, I guess. :P That doesn't have much to do with anything, but recently, I was inspired to make some new emoticons. Teapot emoticons! :D

You know, Artwork is such a funny thing. People almost never put anything out that they're not proud of. Two years ago, I would've put something like this out:

See the difference? I'm so glad that when you work hard, your artwork progresses. How about you? Did you have a rough Artist start? Have you progressed alot? At one point in time did you ever steal someone elses work, and then reform? I've heard lots of stories, but I'm glad artwork changes, and I'm glad (for the most part) that people change. :)

So anyways, all of that to say that I'm planning on redoing some of my older pixels, to make purty new ones. (:

You know, the funny thing about kids these days (I mean like 11 and 12 years olds...) Is that they all have phones. :P Not to say that this is a bad thing, of course, some kids need phones for various reasons, but doesn't it seem insane to want a phone just because your friend has one, or just so you can rack up large texting bills etc?

My Parents always made the rule that we (as kids) couldn't get a phone until we were able to drive, because then we would really need one, as opposed to just wanting one for a bit of convenience. The other rule they had is that, by the time we need or want a cellphone, we better have a job, because the bill is on us. :P I don't have a phone yet, even though I work a job and things, but it really makes you (as a child) more responsible. You learn to pay your own bills, and save your money etc. I've always liked how my parents laid that out. :)

Anyways, because I don't have a phone IRL, I had to make imaginary phones for myself. :P Haha, new pixel adoptables. (:

Piano is my Passion (:

Isn't that purty? It's my piano. my old klunker that I've learned to play the piano on. (: I've been playing piano for well, as of thirty days from now, 13 years. It is by far my favorite instrument, and I have learned so much through it.

I don't brag about it much, because then people have higher expectations for me, but, I play by ear alot. And I've composed several pieces, which will indeed be my Summer project (putting them in sheet music, that is.). I can play nearly anything I hear, it's just something I was born with. It kind of is a crutch though, it's easier to rely on my ear than to actually read the notes...but anyways..

I've learned to read music, and I'm currently realllyyy into Music history. I've been studying several of the Baroque/Classical/Romatic Artist (Romantic being my favorite, excluding Wagner & Debussy). History has always been one of my favorite things to study, so put music & history together, and I'm all over it. :D

Anyways, as of late I've been playing alot of Chopin, and a few later Beethoven pieces (the one's leaning more toward the Romantic music period...). They're fun. Gotta give it to those old dudes, they knew their stuff. ;D

So, rightio, I love music alot because I can play it... But music is so much more than that. There is nothing quite like it. It is unique. It sets the mood for your mind, it even, "reaches your soul". When words cannot express one's feelings, music often can.

Don't you love that about music? It reaches so deep down inside of you, and makes you want to SINNNGGG. :) I love that. I can't imagine the world without music! What do you think, do ya'll play any instruments? or sing? What kind of music do you like? :)

here I am, all back from Vacation, yayyy! (: It was an awesome vacation, but it's so nice to be home with my family again. I love them so much. :)

Maine was awesome. I was there for about a week, and in that time I visited a TON of my family, and then some really awesome friends that I've known for years. :)

I felt like I was old enough to really appreciate being with my family, and visiting my friends. Maybe it's because I know how much the trip costed, or maybe it's just because I know how valuable family and friends are. :)

Anyways, I'm back, and just in time for easter! :) Anyone have any plans? I haven't done easter egg hunts in years etc. but I know my mother will have a lovely easter basket set up for me in the morning. :)

A storm is comin'!

So I realize I've sorta neglected this place throughout the school year.

I can sum up my schoolyear is a few words.. Crazy, Homework, Sick.

This school year has been absolutely insane. I started my junior year in the Fall, and it's gone by fast. The Day before school started, My Dad had appendicitis. This threw my family a bit off, but it was alright, and My Dad made a quick recovery. Then I was sick for 7 & 1/2 weeks. Which really messed up my homework, and school schedule. I got so behind, and on top of everything, I was working. Some days I was just soooo tired from the pneumonia & asthma, I literally slept the entire day until the next morning.

Don't ask me how, but I actually managed a 4.0 GPA despite all of this. Insanity. Through all of this (though it's a horrid excuse) I've neglected this place. My little cute haven. Haha. (:

Well, I'm hoping for a wayyy better school semester, and you can totally expect a Storm of all the art I've been working on soon. Really, you can. (:

So I have had an absolutely wonderful christmas break! It's been insanely busy + I've been working alot (meaning, I got more $$$) but it's been nice to be off school. :)

So, I had a wonderful thanksgiving break, but it seemed like break was busier than normal life. o____O So, I wasn't able to draw. Today, I set aside some time to add something to the site though, and I got a bit creative and drew some purtyyy lions. :3 I also have a few more ideas, which I'm excited about. :) It feels nice to have the creative juices flowing again. :)

Oh just loverlyyy...

You know, I feel horrible about not being able to dedicate more time to this lovely website, I really will get around to it one of these days.

I did, however want to post something since I had a few extra minutes.

Life, currently, is busy, and well, miserable. :( I spend my days working like a mad-woman on homework, and all that jazz. At 4 o'clock every-other day (and usually every saturday) I work. At the Bell of Tacos, yay taco bell.

It's nice to be bringing in money, really, it is, it's just so hard to balance school work AND work. And for that reason I've been a little slack in some homework, got my first couple of B's last week. It makes me sad, but at least I'm learning.

On top of working, AND doing school, I have to get some time in each day for piano practicing. I usually end up practicing at night (My poor family) But since it's my junior year of highschool, and I plan to go to college for music, I HAVE to make piano a big priority these next two years. These are the years that are getting me ready for my college life, and really, my entire life. EWWWW I'm growing up. xD

Anyways, other than piano, I do have a social life, and right now it seem so stinking hard to fit anything in. I find myself more and more having to tell friends, "Sorry, I have to work that night." or, "I really really need to study for that test, I can't hang out..." It's sad, but it's what I have to do, now I want to cryyyyy. :'( lol...

Well anyways, this past week has been, quite, rough... I got sick over the weekend (Just what I needed, you know? ughhh..) and what was a cold, (a very nasty one) turned into pneumonia rather quickly! This pretty much knocked me off my feet the entire weekend. I was in bed all day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I felt soooo much better yesterday, but feel worse today.

And to pretty much all of this, all I can say is...I can't WAIT until Thanksgiving break. xD

Wow, I really haven't been neglecting doodlesong, really, I'm just busy!

finally getting into the "meat" of homework (no more review...lol) I've been working alot more now that I pretty much know what to do at work (not really needing to be trained much anymore...)

so work + school + general life = busy! haha. :) That's my life as of right now in a nutshell. ;/

One Lovely Year!!

One year and three days ago, I officially opened Doodlesong! I'm so thankful for the opportunity Lisa has given to me to express my artistic creativity! THANK YOU LISA! <3

I've learned alot over the past year, so I suppose I'll share some of the things I've learned. :) First off, I think I've improved in my computer art a great deal, of which I'm super happy about! Secondly, I've learned to finish what I start, and do a good job on it. :)

I've also learned alot about being a good blogger. It's not all about content, I don't have to post new content every time I blog, and force it on here. If I rush something just so I can get my content up for the week, I know I won't do a good job, and I must say I've been guilty of doing this before.

I've also been able to get to know Lisa a little more. And I'm very thankful for her, and absolutely LOVVVEEE HER. :3 She has been wayyyy too kind to me! Thank you, Lisa! <3

I've also learned alot about web design, and have been able to learn my coding so much more, I appreciate this, and love messing with new codes! :)

Anyways, still having a crazy week, it's hard. School started today. I was okay homework wise in just about everything except history. I couldn't believe how much I was actually assigned on the first day, from one class. It took a good while to finish all the reading, study question (erghhh), 3 activities, 2 section reviews, and the chapter review. Quiz tomorrow, test over chapter one on Wednesday. My teacher is nuts. o.o Luckily, History is one of my favorite (if not my favorite) subjects, so it's alright. :)

School tomorrow, and then work, tomorrow night is also the funeral for the Baby I spoke of in my last post. I feel bad that I won't be able to make it because I have to work, but at the same time, funerals are hard to sit through...especially in this case. They were so far along, I couldn't imagine losing a baby. :(

So anyways, this week is kinda swamped for me as I have work & school. Piano lessons start back up on Friday, which is sort of hard, because I'm "tripping" on my scales because of my stupid broken ring finger (on my right hand) and my sprained thumb (on my left hand) Ah well, I'm hoping to work on some lovely Chopin pieces and all that jazz, er, classical stuff. ;o

Also, my older brother moved out and went off to college on Wednesday. I miss him like MADDD (more than I thought I would) but we skype alot, so it's not so bad. :) It'll be nice when I see him on weekends and things, it's so weird growing up, and having your family grow up. It seems like they'll always be there forever, but I'm realizing more and more how far away I'll be from my family one day, as my turn for college comes soon. :) It's exciting in some ways, but sad in other ways. Any way, I love my family, and even when I'm off on my own, I'll visit when I can 'cuz I love 'em to death! :)

I hope you all had a wonderful labor day, and that you spent your vacation time wisely. ;x We always start school on labor day, so I seem to always forget about it. Oh well. :) I'm sure ya'll had fun.

So yes, this week has been...roughh, and hard. :( On Saturday I found out an older lady I knew died Friday night, and then Sunday night my Dad had an appendectomy. So he had emergency surgery and all that jazz. Then I worked on Monday, and after work, I found out another lady I knew lost her baby when she was 8 months pregnant. The Baby was due at the end of the month..

On top of all this, I work tomorrow, and my older brother moves out off to college today. I pretty much hate this week so far, but it's getting...better, ish..

Anywaysss, I'm offering up to 5 blockie name blinkies, and that's mostly because I need to do something to take my mind off of my life. haha. (:

So after much boredom (last night in bed) I sketched out a reaalllyy cute layout design, and I think I'm going to set it up for the fall! ;D I'm really excited about it, but I don't want to draw it & set it up too soon, since I just put this layout up (And I really do like this one!)

Life is going well, School is coming up fast, we'll see how it works out! I finally got a job, so I'll be working + trying to keep my grades up this year. It'll be a little rough, but I think I can make it! =)

As Far as new content goes, nothing yet! But I'm working on my first-ever brush set! It's all swirly, and flowery, hehe. Prettyful. =) Something to look forward to, anyways!

Not Much...

Hey guys! This week has already been loaded with, craziness... ;P I finish up my Spanish course this week (huzzahhh!) and then start school on the 31st. (wewtish? haha) Other than that, not much has gone on, I've just been either lazy, or busy. :P

Anyways, I haven't added much as far as content goes, but I did fix the compact scribble Userlookups. Seeing as they didn't work correctly in IE. I fixed them, and I'm so proud of myself for figuring out Neopets coding. o.o; *stabs* lol.

As far as everything else goes, my poor dog has an ear infection *cuddles large dog* :C Poor baby. We took him to the vet, and they said he was in lots of pain. awww. He's doing better now though. <3 He also had a seizure this morning, he's getting them more often now, so we think he may have Epilepsy.

I ofen wonder what goes on in an animal's mind when something like that happens? I know he is scared, and I know he feels it coming on because when he has one, he runs to the nearest person and lays down. (And you can tell when he's scared, all jumpy and what not.) Poor pup. SO glad he feels better now. <3

Ahhh there's so much going on right now, this COULD BE a long post! haha!

As you see, I have a new layout! Whoo! I finished it sooner than I expected, so I've been working on it all week! *0* It's done, and I'm happy. haha. :)

I've added alot, because I got inspired with this lovely teddy bear you see on my layout! As I promised, I DID make emoticons! You can find a new Teddy bear set on the emoticons page.

Also, going along with the whole teddy bear thing, I made two new buttons so I can be "linked to in style" ;D

& I made a lovely 88x31 button for some of my affies! :D

Spanish Class + Summer + Broken Finger = Not fun & Not easy

So, I've been taking a Spanish class over the Summer. I'm not quite sure how, but somehow my mother convinced me to do it.

Anyways, I've been working pretty hard on that, and I actually really enjoy it, but sometimes it's hard to think in a different language. Anyone whose taken a language class knows what I'm talking about.

On top of trying to juggle my schedule with this Spanish class tossed in, I have this broken finger, which actually makes it very difficult to write. Even though I don't have to wear my splint as often anymore, it still throws my whole hand off because my finger is so stiff from wearing that splint, and it just messes up all my writing. That being said, while I'd love to post a picture of my handwriting, I think I'll wait a while.

Hahaha. So, anyways, this is random, but I updated my Cbox smilies, because the links were all broken because I set it up YEARS ago. This all got me thinking that I really should make a new emoticon set. Haha. I haven't yet, but that's definitely something you can expect in the near future.

Ayeee, I'm super happy that I'm getting (finally) into the groove of blogging pretty regularly here, and getting some content in when I can. I'm super excited about putting the next layout up, I love it already!

So, I went to the doctor today (Which I'm sure you knew if you follow me on twitter) and all is going well with my broken finger! He wants me to start moving my finger so it won't be so stiff & I can have full use of it very soon. ;D It's still healing, so I have to wear a splint at night, but as far as the day goes, I don't have to wear one! So my finger is doing well, and I'm actually able to type now! hehe.

As far as new content goes, I decided to add some new blinkies! They're fun to make, and I realized I hadn't added any new ones for....well, a long time! Also, I'm working on a new spectaularific layout which I'm really looking forward to putting up probably around the end of the month. <3 So exciting!

Series of unfortunate events!

So this is really really sad, because I haven't been able to update this place in forever, and now it's only harder!

I've had pneumonia for the past week, and it's been awful! I've been in bed absolutely TOO LONG I hate it! So--I'm finally getting over it and BLAM, I break my finger.

My entire right hand is wrapped up, and I may have to have surgery to ensure that I get full use of it so I can get back to normal activities (i.e. Playing piano, drawing, writing, cooking etc.) It's incredibly annoying! I can hardly type! I'm like plucking at the keys. D:

I hope you all understand--my summer really has been full of unfortunate events. D: I've been sick all summer, even more sick, and now my right hand is out of use! I'm sorry, I'm a bit down about it. D: Just hope I get better soon!! :)

I know I haven';t updated in FOREVER, but there's a reason, I'll explain it later. Right now I'd like to introduce my latest affies!

Anyways, I haven't updated in a while because, about a month ago, my computer broke. I had had this old (Cheaper) desktop for four years, and was sort of expecting it to die soon. So anyways, it's broken beyond repair. I've been able to get on my brother's computer some, but not much, and nothing more than checking email.

So, I've ordered a new laptop! A Dell Studio 15. It's a great computer, and I'm sure I won't know what to do with it since my old computer had a very slow processor & 1/4 a gig of Ram! Haha. My New computer is going to be Purple! It has a 2.0 GHz processor, 4 gigs of ram (wowweee), 320 gb harddrive & a decent graphic's card! haha. In addition to buying a laptop, I'm also updating my Paint shop Pro to the latest version! I'm quite excited...hehe. :)

My Laptop should arrive during the first couple weeks of July, so expect some new updates then! Until then, I'm only able to "Computer hop". I'm able to log onto twitter maybe once a week, if you'd like to watch my updates there. :) http://www.twitter.com/doodlesong

Well, after completing drama class with the top grade in the class (Something I wasn't expecting for sure!) I decided to celebrate by updating! :)

I've added a Checkers page, so now you can play drag & drop checkers with a friend, or yourself...if you want ;P
